Pigeon AdminFrom the Pigeon Admin, you have access to the complete set of message's properties:General parameters Organise your messages by selecting a section and a group, give your message a title for easier reference, type your text and optionnaly select a web page to be linked (when a message is linked to a web page, the user may double-click on the message to open the web page into the default web browser). ![]() Properties selection Select the level (message, warning, alert or alarm), the mode (acknowledge or continuous), the lifetime (on shot to connected users, repeat at every logon, once to every targetted clients), enable or disable a message (a disabled message is stored in the database and not send to users) and select if you want a receipt (by selecting receipt, you will know who has received the message). ![]() Easily target the users/machines Targetting users from the Pigeon Admin is very easy. If your organisation uses Windows NT Domain groups, they will be automatically listed. You can then double-click on the name to add it to the target list. Custom Pigeon groups may also be created and used the same way. Or directly type the MachineID or LoginID you want to target. ![]() Advance scheduling options You can define when the message will be posted or made available for posting. You can also make the message to be repeatedly posted every 1-100 minutes, hours, days, months or years. Define an expiration date from which the message will not be posted anymore. Also decide if the message will be deleted after the expiration date is reached. ![]() Define policies for a user or machine While global policies are setted by the Pigeon Server, you can modify/set policies for a particular machine or user. Simply select the machine or user from the Pigeon Admin list view and select Policies from the popup menu. Policies may be valid for the current session only or saved in the database for permanent setting. ![]()
