Using the Pigeon Gateway
Previous  Top  Next

This option is only enabled if you registered an Enterprise Edition.

If more than one Pigeon Server is installed, you may connect them to the Pigeon Gateway by giving the name of the machine where the Pigeon Gateway is installed as well as the TCP port number to be used. The TCP port must be the same as declared within the Pigeon Gateway Configuration module.

When a
Pigeon Gateway is specified, any data related to messages, templates, groups and sections received by the Pigeon Server will be sent to the Pigeon Gateway. The Pigeon Gateway will then send this information to all other Pigeon Servers connected to it.

If a
Pigeon Gateway is specified but the Pigeon Server cannot connect to it, all data will be saved in a temporary table. As soon as the connection resumes, this temporary data will be sent to the Pigeon Gateway.

Note:
If you do not use a Pigeon Gateway, keep the Machine name entry clear.
