The Pigeon Gateway is based on Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1. It runs as a service and as such, requires Windows NT based Operating System (Windows NT 4.0 SP6, Windows 2000, Windows XP or Windows Server 2003).
A command line program is also available for testing and/or debugging purpose. It is named PigeonGatewayCmd.exe and it is located in the same directory as the service, usually C:\Program Files\Pigeon\Gateway.
A Pigeon Gateway may reside on the same machine as a Pigeon Server version 4.0 if you don't use any Pigeon Clients version 3.x (you do not configure the Pigeon Gateway to intercept Pigeon Clients version 3.x).
NOTE:
It is not recommended to install the Pigeon Gateway on the same machine as a Pigeon Server if the Pigeon Gateway is configured to intercept Pigeon Clients 3.x as unpredictable results will occur.
