The Pigeon Communication System for Windows™ is a client/server solution developed by Tech-Noel Inc. to enable message transmission to users connected to the internal network of your company. The messages are received instantaneously without interrupting the recipient's work in progress as they are posted in a non-obtrusive scrolling banner. This banner uses half the width of the client's screen and its height depends on the font size selected by the client.
The messages could be created either from the Pigeon Admin, from a Pigeon Generator or from the Pigeon Client. Modification, cancellation, retransmission or deletion of a message are done from the Pigeon Admin. The messages may be transmitted to all users who are connected or to UserID(s), Machine Name(s), predefined Pigeon group(s) or your existing Domain group(s). They can also be sent to already logged users or those who will log at a later time.
The administrators have some policies they can apply to clients in order to limit their usage of the system. For example, the administrator may remove the right to generate messages from the Pigeon Client module.
If permitted, then users may generate messages directly from the Pigeon Client module but with limited properties. For example, an Alarm level message may only be generated from the Pigeon Admin module. The same restriction applies to the scheduling properties. This makes learning to use the Pigeon Client as easy as possible for your end users.
