All users of the machine may install a Pigeon Client. To install, simply execute Pigeon4Setup.exe exe and select Client from the list.
If a Client.ini configuration file exists in the same directory as the installation file Pigeon4Setup.exe, then the information it contains will be used to configure this client.
You may also specify a particular ini file while passing the installation program parameters.
Example: Pigeon4Setup.exe /INI:Sales.ini
In the example above, if the file Sales.ini exists, the information it contains will be used to configure the client. Should the file not exist but in the case where the Client.ini does, this last one will be used to configure the client otherwise, the default parameters will be used.
At the end of the installation, a group of icons named Pigeon Communication System will be created and will contain 2 icons: Pigeon Client and Pigeon Client Help.
The Pigeon Client will automatically start at the end of the installation and at the machine startup time.
Note:
When you install the Pigeon Client, the Pigeon Generator for Windows is also installed (in your System32 directory).
