How it works
Previous  Top  Next

It is very simple. When you start Windows, the Pigeon Client automatically starts and connects to the assigned Pigeon Server. The server sends all the active messages to your client, and the client filters the messages in order to display only the ones that should be read.
If the message has been created to be acknowledged, an OK button ok_button will be activated for you to acknowledge the message and display the next available message or close the display if no more messages concern you.

If during the day a new message is generated and sent to you, the display will reappear with the new message. This will not interrupt your work. You may continue working while the message is being displayed. The message is displayed until you read it and acknowledge it with the OK button.

If the message is linked to a document, the text will be underlined. Simply double-click anywhere over the text to open the associated application to the linked document type. If the document cannot be accessed or opened, you will receive an error message.

Client.log file
A client.log file is recreated at each Pigeon Client start-up. All the operations are registered in this file. It may be useful for the client troubleshooting. At the start-up, the relative information in the client options are registered in the file and the creation of certain objects are also added.
