When you create or edit a message, the properties are displayed into the Entry form window.

entry_general

Properties are grouped into 4 categories:
·General: This is the general information about the message - title, text, web page link as well as organization information. You may select/change the section and/or group. The Section dropdown list contains all defined sections. The Group dropdown list is filled with all groups defined for the selected section. If no title is entered, the first 30 characters of the text will be used. If you link the message to a web page, it should start with http://. You can link any document that can be associated with an application on the client's machine. The document should be accessible by the targeted users (the document is not physically included with the message).

entry_properties

·Properties: This is the behavior of the messages. For new messages, default values are already selected. If Enabled, the message will be posted to the users otherwise, it will just be recorded in the database. If you want to know who has received the message, you must select the Receipt option. When a client receives a message with a receipt requested, it will send the information back to the server.

entry_target
·Target: You define the targeted user(s) and/or machine(s) and/or Pigeon group(s) and/or Domain group(s). The groups can be selected from a list. You can enter the target manually by separating the users/groups with a semicolon (;), or you may choose available groups. If Domain groups exist within your organization, the list will be automatically filled. To add a Domain group to the target, simply double-click on it in the list. To select an existing Pigeon group, simply double-click on it in the list. To add a new Pigeon group, just type the name in the entry box. It will be added to the list and to the target. To delete a Pigeon group, select it from the list and click the delete button.

entry_schedule
·Schedule: Scheduling information about the message. You define the date and time you want the message to be available for posting to the clients. If you want the message to be resubmitted to the connected users at a pre-defined frequency, use the Repeat every field. You can choose from 0 to 100 minutes, hours, days, weeks, months or years. Note that a message with Lifetime of "Once to every targeted users" cannot be repeating. You can also define when the message will expire and if the message should be deleted from the database after the expiration date.
