If you want to relocate the Pigeon Server to another machine, use this Change Server button. You will then be asked to enter the name of the new Pigeon Server.
Before activating this option, make sure the new Pigeon Server is running. Then press the Change Server button. A serious warning will appear on the screen. Read the warning carefully and then accept or reject the operation.
A confirmation will be required before going further. The confirmation consist of typing the name of the actual Pigeon Server. After the confirmation process, you will be prompted for the name of the new Pigeon Server.
When ready, stop the Pigeon Server service. Copy your Pigeon.mdb database file to the new server in order to keep your data.
Now, restart the Pigeon Server in order for the new settings to be applied. At this point, any Pigeon Client which connects to this Pigeon Server will be routed to the new Pigeon Server. The name of the new Pigeon Server will be recorded in the Pigeon Client's configuration file so every future connection will go directly to the new Pigeon Server.
When all Pigeon Clients have connected to the new Pigeon Server, you will need to uninstall the old Pigeon Server to respect the license agreement unless you have purchased a site license.
