COMPLETE communication system

The Pigeon Communication System comes with everything you need to communicate efficiently. A complete system is composed of one Pigeon Server, several Pigeon Clients who will receive the messages (they can also generate messages), one or more Pigeon Admins to administer the messages database, and optionally some Pigeon Generators to allow processes to generate messages.

The Pigeon Communication System is an instant, complete, non-obtrusive and inexpensive LAN messaging system for Windows™! It allows you to send messages, warnings, alerts or alarms to remote clients. The messages are posted in a scrolling banner which does not disturb the receiver. This means, if a client is on phone with a customer, or is filling a form, he/she will not be disturbed by the message. The message will start scrolling at the client's preferred position and will keep scrolling over and over until he/she reads it.

Each message may be one of the 4 possible message's levels: Message, warning, alert or alarm.

• The MESSAGES are displayed over a green background;
• The WARNINGS are shown over a yellow background;
• The ALERTS and ALARMS are posted with a red background.

POWERFUL message management tool

Messages can be sent to all users or to designated users; they can be sent to one or several workstations, to one or several users, to one or more predefined Pigeon Groups, to one or more Domain groups, or to any combination.
Messages can be defined to be read only by connected users, or to connected users and those who will connect later. They can be read only once, or reappear at every client's login.
Messages can also be easily modified, cancelled and/or resubmitted with immediate action on client's side!
They can also be scheduled to be submitted at a predefined date and time. You can also create messages that will repeat every X laps of time. You can even create and expiration date from which the message will not be posted anymore.

UNLIMITED FREE Pigeon Clients

The Pigeon Clients are so easy to use; there is no learning required since there is only an OK button to acknowledge the message after they read it. The Pigeon Client automatically connects to designated Pigeon Server, checks for broken connection with the Pigeon Server and automatically reconnects if required.
You can freely install as many Pigeon Clients as required. The number of concurrent connections is limited by the edition of the Pigeon Server you bought.

FRIENDLY server interface

Every message in the database are shown in an Explorer type interface from the Pigeon Admin module. You can organize your messages into section and folders if you want. The message's icon indicates the message level: Messages Warning Alert Alarm

Creating and editing a message is SO EASY!

Just type in the text, select some properties (or use the default ones), assign it to user groups (or no group for everyone) and submit the message. You can even select the groups from the Pigeon groups list or from the automatically filled NT Domain groups list.

REMOTELY administer your messages!

According to the edition you bought, you can execute from 1 to 25 Pigeon Admins to remotely administer your message database. You can freely install as many Pigeon Admins as you want; the number of concurrent connections will be limited by the Pigeon Server's edition.
Modify, delete, resubmit or cancel any message from anywhere within your network. Get the list of people or machine on which the message has been posted. Know who is online and who is not. Modify a client policy instantly. Organize your messages within sections and groups. Re-schedule a message or make it repeat every X minutes or every X years! All this can be done from within the Pigeon Admin.

PEER-TO-PEER communications may be allowed!

You can allow clients to send messages too, directly from their Pigeon Client application with limited properties.

FREE UNLIMITED Pigeon Generators!

Messages are not only generated by humans, they may also be generated by machines or processes using the Pigeon Generator. This generator is a command line interface to the Pigeon Server which can be used remotely.

Generate messages from UNIX machines too!

A Unix version of the Pigeon Generator is also included. Freely use as many Pigeon Generators for Unix as required.

Client's installation CONFIGURABLE

You can pre-configure the installation of the Pigeon Client using a client.ini file. You can even create many different ini configuration files prior to the installation (like sales.ini, marketting.ini, etc.). Then you just pass the ini file as a parameter to the client's installation program.
